Acceptance
By creating an Emprise account or calling the API, you agree to these terms. If you use Emprise on behalf of a business, you bind that business to them.
The service
Emprise provides hosted payment pages and an API that create checkout sessions for cryptocurrency payments, verifies those payments on-chain, and notifies your server via signed webhooks. Emprise is non-custodial: it never holds, moves, or controls your funds. Payments are made by your customers directly to addresses you control, on public blockchain networks.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for keeping your API key and webhook secret secure, for the accuracy of the payout addresses you set, for fulfilling orders only after confirming a payment via the webhook or GET /v1/pay/{id}, and for complying with laws that apply to your business and your customers, including sanctions, anti-money-laundering and tax obligations.
No custody; no guarantees of finality
Because payments happen on-chain, you are subject to the rules and risks of each network, including transaction fees paid by your customers, confirmation times, and the residual risk of chain reorganisations beyond the confirmation threshold Emprise requires. Emprise reports a payment as paid only after on-chain verification at that threshold.
Fees and billing
Plans are billed as a flat monthly fee for a quota of successful payments, as described on the pricing page. Details of plans, quotas and overages are set at signup and may change with notice. Network gas fees are paid by your customer, not by Emprise.
Acceptable use
You may not use Emprise for unlawful activity, to facilitate fraud, sanctions evasion, or market abuse, or in a way that interferes with the service. We may suspend access for violations or to protect the service.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Emprise and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for losses arising from on-chain events, your misconfiguration, or your failure to verify payments server-side.
Changes
We may update these terms and will note the effective date below. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
